In the first part of this quarterly membership meeting, SIG leaders will briefly present news items related to the Technical Editing SIG. Deadline for Summit 2016 Proposals/Technical Editing Progression, Sep 21STC has opened the Call for Proposals for Summit 2016. Anyone with experience in the latest communication techniques, technologies, approaches, and solutions is invited to submit. You are not required to be an STC member to submit a proposal. There are several types of sessions, so please consider the presentation type that best fits your topic and your presentation style.
Proposals are due by 11:59 PM EDT (GMT-4) on Monday, 21 September 2015. See http://summit.stc.org/call-for-proposals/ for complete information on how to submit your proposal.
The TE SIG leadership team asks for your help to make a technical editing progression session a reality for the 2016 Summit. Specifically, we are requesting our membership and those interested in editing submit requests to the STC Summit Education Committee to present a technical editing progression topic.

About the Scholarship
The Technical Editing SIG Scholarship is awarded each year in honor of Diane Feldman, a long-time STC and Technical Editing SIG member who passed away in 2010. Diane Feldman was an Associate Fellow of STC and was the manager of the Technical Editing SIG for seven years. Through unwavering dedication and leadership, she successfully re-chartered and re-focused the SIG in difficult times, ultimately initiating a thriving and growing SIG. She also mentored many of the SIG leaders throughout their tenures, leaving a lasting mark on those leaders and their careers.
