Technical Editing SIG Named STC Community of Excellence
The Community Achievement Award recognizes the accomplishments of professional chapters, student chapters, and SIGs in achieving the Society's goals through their programs and activities. The Technical Editing SIG was also an STC Community of Excellence for 2011.
SIG Activities at Summit 2013We will be active at Summit 2013, May 5 through 8.
Business MeetingIf you’re a SIG member, join us at our annual Business Meeting, typically held at midday on Tuesday. Attending the business meeting is a great way to meet fellow members, find out what is planned for the SIG, and sign up as a volunteer! We will be summarizing the SIG’s accomplishments over the past year, and recognizing the work of our terrific volunteers. We will also be presenting certificates to the first recipients of our new SIG awards program:
- New Volunteer – Dan Reichers, SIG Treasurer
- Volunteer of the Year – Rebekka Andersen, scholarship manager; Li-At Ruttenburg, fundraiser events manager, and Ann Marie Queeney, quarterly events manager
Communities ReceptionOnce again, we will be hosting a table at the Communities Reception on Monday, May 6. Our popular table provides an opportunity for us to talk with conference attendees and invite them to get to know us better. If you would like to volunteer to help staff our table, contact the co-managers at info at stc-techedit.org.
